Real Name : Kenneth Gorelick

Birthday : June 5, 1956

Birthplace : Seattle, Washington, USA

Played saxophone in his high school band

1976 at age 17, started playing professionally with Barry White’s Love Unlimited Orchestra

First recorded with a Seattle funk group, Cold, Bold & Together

Graduated in University of Washington with a degree in accounting

Recorded two albums with Jeff Lorber Fusion

1981 signed with Artista Records as solo artist

1982 released his debut album, Kenny G

‘Songbird’ in his fourth album Duotones was a smash hit that made him well known even in international music scene

Guest appearances in recordings and shared the stage with famous singers like Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra Dionne Warwick and Natalie Cole

1991 performed the score and theme of Dying Young, a Julia Roberts film

1994 won Best Instrumental Composition, Grammy Award for Forever in Love

2004 His latest work At Last…The Duets Album features some of the big name performers like Yolanda Adams, Burt Bacharach, David Benoit, Earth, Wind & Fire, Daryl Hall, Chaka Khan, David Sanborn, Arturo Sandoval and Barbra Steisand.
